Is it an homage to Jackson Pollock — or is this seemingly quaint home in southwest England actually covered in mold?

In the town of Swindon, a property listed for roughly $450,000 in US dollars has caught eyes for its unusual — and perhaps illness-inducing — interiors. Images show at least several rooms covered head to toe in what appears to be dark-colored mold spores and mildew.

Still, the offering — which has five bedrooms, three of them with ensuite bathrooms — is billed as a “fantastic opportunity,” according to Jam Press.

The residence looks this way after having experienced “water damage” from a bathroom leak, the outlet notes, with the bedrooms bearing the brunt of it. Several photos show those rooms, whose beds have been left in place and whose wallpaper touches were stripped to reveal the dark reality underneath. Even the floors have been removed and one bed frame has green marks all over it.

Additional imagery of the nearly 1,800-square-foot house shows the growth blanketing a dining area, which has a table standing underneath a hole in the ceiling. It’s a similar story in the kitchen — where spores of multiple sizes along the walls mix with a ceiling that’s peeling away, a light fixture loosely dangling from the ceiling and broken floor tiles.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure in the end, with the listing noting the home provides “a great opportunity to refurbish this property to your own standards.”

At least the exterior seems okay. Of particular note, there’s a large backyard with a deck big enough for lounging and al fresco dining.
